Requests from private individuals may also be accepted for scientific, educational, research, or other legitimate non-commercial purposes, subject to prior review by the Institute.

Acceptance of any request is determined according to the purpose of the examination, specimen type and origin, available documentation, technical feasibility, and applicable legal or ethical requirements.

02Commercial Use Restrictions

The Institute does not provide authentication, identification, certification, or valuation services primarily intended to facilitate the purchase, sale, resale, trading, auction, pricing, investment, or commercial promotion of specimens or products.

Scientific findings and reports issued by the Institute must not be interpreted as an endorsement or guarantee of a specimen’s market value, commercial quality, tradability, legal eligibility for sale, authenticity for commercial purposes, or investment value.

03Application & Submission Requirements

Applicants may be required to provide:

  1. The applicant’s or requesting institution’s identification and relevant contact information;
  2. Institutional, academic, scientific, or professional credentials where applicable;
  3. A clear explanation of the purpose and intended use of the examination or report;
  4. Relevant case, research, or project context;
  5. Information concerning the specimen, its origin, and relevant background;
  6. Supporting documentation reasonably required for scientific assessment.

The Institute may request additional information before accepting a submission.

04Specimen Origin & Legal Compliance

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they have the lawful right or appropriate authorization to possess, submit, transport, and request examination of the specimen.
